Ingredients & Substitutions

- Flatbread: Naan or pita works great as the base. You can also use pizza dough.
- Pizza Sauce: I went with store-bought for convenience but you can make your own too.
- Cheese: Mozzarella for that classic gooey melt. You can also add cheddar or gouda.
- Toppings: Pepperoni, black olives, red onion, and fresh jalapeรฑos for a little heat. You can also swap with rotisserie chicken, bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Hot Honey: A quick mix of honey, sriracha, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Or use ready-made hot honey sauce.
- Garnish: Fresh basil leaves to finish it off. Fresh arugula, parsley or some shaved Parmesan works well too.
Step-By-Step With Photos

- Spread pizza sauce evenly over each flatbread.

- Add toppings: pepperoni, black olives, jalapeรฑos, and red onion.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes in a preheated oven, until the cheese is melted and golden.

- Mix honey, sriracha, vinegar, and red pepper flakes, then warm briefly in the microwave.

Helpful Tips & Variations
- Don't overload the flatbread with sauce or toppings, this keeps the base crisp.
- For extra crispiness, preheat the baking tray and place the flatbread directly on the hot tray.
- You can make the hot honey ahead of time and store it in a jar. Microwave just before drizzling so it is thin.
- For a vegetarian version, skip the pepperoni and load up your flatbread with veggies like mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini, or spinach.
- You can also add extra cheese varieties such as ricotta or feta for more flavor.
