This mango mojito recipe is non-alcoholic and a fruity spin on the classic mojito! It's sweet, tart and incredibly refreshing. Nothing beats the taste of fresh ripe mangoes!
And if you want that burst of minty goodness, don't forget to muddle the mint in the glass. Grab a wooden muddler, gently bruise that mint, and let the flavour loose.

What Is A Mojito
A classic cocktail originating from Cuba, Mojito is made with white rum, limes, fresh mint, sugar and club soda.
To prepare this drink, the mint leaves, lime and sugar are muddled (gently crushed) in the bottom of the glass to release their flavors. Then, rum, ice and club soda is gently stirred in to combine all the flavours.
My recipe incorporates fresh mango in this traditional mojito!

Ingredients & Substitutions
- Mango - I use Pakistani mangoes which are naturally very sweet. You can use whichever type of mangoes you have in your grocery store. But you might need to adjust the sugar. During off season, you can substitute with frozen mangoes, canned mango pulp or mango juice.
- Lime - Of course there is no mojito without the fresh limes. I highly recommend using lime and not lemon. Also, lime wedges impart a more citrusy flavour because of their rind instead of fresh lime juice.
- Mint - Fresh mint leaves add freshness to this mocktail!
- Sugar - Traditionally, granulated white sugar is used in a mojito. I used fine white sugar. However, many recipes use simple syrup as it dissolves faster. Brown sugar is also a good alternate.
- Sparkling Water - club soda, carbonated water, soda water or seltzer water; you can use any form of fizzy water. This sparkling water is used in place of white rum for an alcohol-free mango mojito.
See recipe card for quantities.
How To Make Mango Mojito
- In a highball glass with a sturdy bottom, first muddle the lime wedges, fresh mint and sugar.
- Then, add the mango chunks and muddle again slightly.
- Top with crushed ice cubes and a few tablespoons of fresh mango puree. This gives the drink extra mango flavour.
- Pour sparkling water and stir. Garnish with a sprig of mint and serve this delicious mango mojito immediately!
PRO TIP
Add the mangoes after you have muddled the lime and mint. The lime is hard and takes time to break down. If you add the mango cubes along with it they will dissolve completely and we want the drink to have some texture.
Variations
- Intensify the mango flavour, by adding mango juice, sweet mango nectar or mango extract.
- Make this Mango Mojito Mocktail fancier, by using a sweetened soda like Sprite or ginger ale instead of plain carbonated water.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or some sliced jalapeno for a spicy kick.
- Switch up the mango with some other fresh fruit like strawberry, pineapple or passion fruit.
- Replace the sugar with some maple syrup or honey.
FAQs
You can surely make this mocktail for a large group. Adjust the serving size in the recipe card below to give you ingredients for 8, 10 or more people.
Then, add lime wedges, fresh mint and simple sugar syrup (yes I recommend syrup over granulated sugar when making in bulk) to a big pitcher. Muddle till the lime breaks apart. Then add the mango puree.
You can skip adding fresh mango cubes if making for a party since not everyone loves chunky fruits in their drink. Then just before serving top with ice and sparkling water.
Yes, you don't need a muddler to make the mango mojito! You can use a wooden spoon to press and twist. Or you can use a pestle if you have one in the kitchen. If you are using a pestle directly in the glass, make sure you are using a heavy bottom glass and press cautiously or you might end up shattering it.

Mango Mojito (Non-Alcoholic)
Ingredients
- 2 mangoes
- 1 lime cut in small quarters
- 12 fresh mint leaves
- 4 teaspoon white sugar
- 500 ml sparkling water or club soda
- crushed ice
Instructions
- Peel and cut one mango in small cubes.
- Peel the second mango and add the flesh to a mini blender. Blend till it's a smooth puree.
- Take two tall glasses. Equally divide the lime and mint between the two. Add 2 teaspoon sugar to each glass. Then mash with a cocktail muddler till the lime and mint release their juice.
- Add the mango chunks and muddle only lightly so the cubes are not mushed completely. Adding the mangoes after the lime and mint ensures that they keep some of their form.
- Top with crushed ice and 2 tablespoon mango puree in each serving glass.
- Fill the remaining portion with club soda and give a quick stir.
- Garnish with mint sprigs and serve cold!
Notes
- Adjust the sugar according to the kind of mangoes you use.
- If you are using a sweetened soda like Sprite instead of plain sparkling water, than reduce the sugar in this recipe.
